  Had a terrible experience for my first time there! Our waiter took forever to take our order and when he was supposed to serve us water first, he decided to serve another table that came after us and started mingling with then too. After he finished serving them water and mingling, he finally came very to serve us water and never took our order, even though we had told him that we were ready to order. But, he still took his sweet time to go chit chat with the other table! We had waited over 20 mins and never got to order our food, so just got up and left. I've never experienced such a rude waiter in my life! I should've made a scene and called management to deal with him but I didn't want to waste more time being at a place where I wasn't appreciated. What was supposed to be a romantic birthday dinner for my wife turned out to be an unpleasant experience.

  This was our second visit to the St. Germain. Last time, we had a great meal with excellent service. However, our meal last Monday evening, was mediocre in the extreme. I had asked for the duck breast to be rare, it was not, my mother in law's steak was very tough, we were not offered any water, although our glasses were empty, never offered any salt or pepper, and when we asked for salt, it was slammed down on the table. We were so disappointed as we were treating my mother in law (94 years old) to a nice dinner! Had the food just been mediocre, we would not have been so disappointed, but with such bad service it was a very bad experience. ! They lost all their stars in our books.

  STEAK!! I ordered the prime rib and it melted in my mouth. For starters we ordered the scallops and parmesan chips. I'll never do that again because I didn't have enough room for my main course.

  After hearing others rave about this steakhouse, we were looking forward to trying it. Big disappointment! We waited 15 minutes before anyone came to the table. We had to ask for water and a wine list. While the decor is attractive , the atmosphere is more cafeteria than upscale: bright lights and noisy. The steaks were good but not great and the vegetables arrived long after the steak. We will not go back.

  Fine dining done right. Excellent prime rib, venison, lobster scallops or shrimp options.
